You always remember your first 5 wicket haul. But for Ijaz, he took 7 wickets. Casually getting everyone out from top to bottom. It is moments like these that make you want to perform better for the rest of your career, it really jump-started his ultimate rein as a deadly opening bowler.24-09-2017

That moment when you take more wickets than runs conceded is always priceless. Taking 5 wickets for 4 runs in 4 overs is what champions are made of. He really showed that he can take wickets without conceding.06-08-2018

In a high scoring game, it is a doubt someone will talk about a bowler's performance. But this game was Ijaz's way of showing that even on batting-friendly pitches, he will be a menace. Taking 4/25 in his 4 overs is what made me win the game. He bowled with maturity and while the other bowlers were getting hit around the park he was controlling and taking wickets.04-03-2019

Ijaz Fazal was the beginning of my superior bowling attack. He came when a lot of players were leaving and had to mature quickly to guide a young bowling attack. For a spinner to open the bowling, he had a real disadvantage, but he did not disappoint. Fazal leaves us today with remarkable figures of 426 Wickets at an average of 13.93 and a SR of 13.11 with an ER of 6.38. He had 23 4 w and 15 5 w hauls, which is an outstanding achievement. Ijaz won the award for the highest wicket-taker in season 34, taking 58 wickets at 4.81 average and 7.16 SR as well as only conceding 4.03 runs per over. He would be sorely missed here at Stoffels Giants. I wish great things for him in his future.
