Notes :

1. Charts are for Credits or Debits with likely figures in Each Div.......these are my pure assumptions. Actual data can vary up to any levels.

2. The aspects list is as per my perception. You can add ‘N’ numbers to these or are free to make your priority list.

In the balance sheet if you take average values from different divisions we can make out the ‘5 most important’ ones as they will fetch you the most amount of money or are most likely major expenditures.

Out of these 5, let’s go one by one..........starting from most important to least important

1. Players (Appreciating Assets)

a. Definition: These are the players in your team which are being trained.

b. How much they can earn you money: Refer Balance Sheet. Generally you start earning more when your player reaches high skills.

c. Steps to calculate how much you can earn from these in future

 1. Make a training strategy first (For this you can see numerous posts on training's and pop- ups)

 2. Decide what level player u want (stars he generates)

3. To predict near-by accurate pop ups make a Training schedule.

 4. Based on strategy & training schedule calculate how much you can earn from that player if you train him for 1,2,3 or more seasons. For this you can look into similar skill players in the Auction Market and assume your earnings.

As I am bowling trainer I made a small Table (TABLE FOR INDICATIVE RSP VS AGE VS SI) which can also be used. Can be found at the end of the post

d. Example explained:

You buy a Rel/Use Bowler of 17 yrs in 3M and train him for 2.5 seasons and he becomes Prod/Ave.

You sell him for 30 M. So, your 3M have fetched you 30M.....i.e. 27 M profit

e. Tips:

It is not necessary to buy young less skill player and train and sell. Old high skill player can be trained for higher skills. The only thing matter’s is the profit. Buying Price – Selling Price

Timing of buying a player is imp.....if you buy a 17.65 yr old player to train him you get only 4 days to train him before he turns 18.00

Timing of selling a player is imp....if you sell a player who you know is going to pop in a skill in one or 2 trainings.........try not to sell such players as is wastage of training = wastage of money.

Be clear from the beginning about you requirement. Up to what age or skill you want to train your player so that you don’t waste your training

2. Players (Depreciating Assets)

a. Definition: These are the players in your team which are not being trained. As the player ages his RSP keeps going down so you lose money.

b. How much money you lose: Refer Balance Sheet. Depends upon the player you have in your team. Generally the money you lose is more for high skilled & high age players.

c. Steps to calculate how much you can lose in future:

 1. Note the RSP, Age & Skills of the player you want to buy

 2. Now refer the Auction market to check the RSP of similar skilled player but one year older than him.

3. Calculate the difference in the RSP. This is the money you will lose if you keep the player in your team till his age increases

As I am bowling trainer I made a small Table (TABLE FOR INDICATIVE RSP VS AGE VS SI) which can also be used.

d. Example explained:

You are planning to buy 21yrs Brill/Acc Batsmen who’s RSP is 4.8M and keep in your team for 2 seasons.

When he turns 22 his RSP will go down to 4.4M and when 23 will go down 4.1M

So you lost 4.8 – 4.1 = 0.7M

e. Tips

Be clear from the beginning about you requirement. Up to what time you want to keep the player in your team

Try not to buy players whose age is more than 17.50 as in some time they will turn 18 and RSP will decrease

Try not to buy very high skilled players if you don’t need them as the % decrease in RSP is directly proportional to skills of the players.

3. Ticket Sales Earnings

a. Definition: This is the money you get from Ticket Sales when the match is on your stadium

b. How much money you earn: Refer Balance Sheet. It will keep increasing as your fan base increases. Also depends on matches you win and the fan base of the team against which you played the match

c. Steps to calculate how much you can earn:

There is no perfect formula available for calculating this. You can refer some posts and based on your experience you can calculate approximate earnings.

d. Example explained:

Your tickets sold are 1200 then your earnings will be 12000X200=240000

e. Tips:

Try to win as much matches as possible.

Try to choose a league where there are most chances of winning and the teams have a strong fan base

Adding seats is one time investment. So, keep adding seats regularly if you have a good winning record.

4. Player Salaries

a. Definition: This is the money you pay to your players weekly

b. How much money you lose: Refer Balance Sheet. The more high skilled and aged players in your team the more salaries you pay to them

c. Steps to calculate how much you lose:

1. Make a list of all the players in your team

 2. Note the total salary you pay to your players.

d. Example explained:

You have 14 players in your team whose total salaries are 800K.So you basically are losing 800K every week.

e. Tips:

Don’t keep players in your team which you don’t require. You are wasting your money on their salary.

While buying any player always have a look at the salary and no just skill and check if his salary fits into your budget

Always have a check on the age of your players as with age their salary will increase

5. Transfer agent fees

a. Definition: This is the money you pay to transfer agent for selling players

b. How much money you lose: Refer Balance Sheet. As this is 5% of the selling price of the player the higher the selling price the higher the transfer fee

c. Steps to calculate how much you lose:

1. Just note the Selling Price of the player you sold

 2. 5% Value is the Transfer agent fees you paid

d. Example explained:

You have Brill/Acc batsmen who you want to sell at 5M.So, you will not get all 5M but 95% of 5M only which is 4.75M. So, the loss you made is 5-4.75=0.25M

e.Tips :

The lesser no. of players you buy you will sell less. So, lesser Transfer agent fees. So, you lose less

Hope the above information will help you understand ‘Management of Finance’ in HW.

Below is the list and details of the tools which can be used for calculation of these aspects.

1.         Player Training Schedule format(Sample format attached)

2.        Table for Indicative RSP VS AGE VS SI(Sample format with data for Bowlers attached)

3.        Table for Indicative Skills Vs Stars Generated(In the planning stage not sure when initial format will be published)

4.       Formula for calculating Earnings from ticket sales(Read linked posts and do your own research)

List of Tools :

1.    Training Schedule:

Below is the example of the training schedule. You can make your own schedule as per your convenience. The biggest advantage of maintaining a TS is that you can predict near-by accurate skill pop-ups

2.    TABLE FOR INDICATIVE RSP VS AGE VS SI....

This table will help you solve your some of the queries like :

1. Estimating your trainees future approx. RSP for planning

2. Deciding your players(both type) time of buying and selling

3. Deciding the Age vs RSP  of your trainees while transition(changing training from BM to BV or to even Batting)

4. RSP depreciation for Players(both type)

And may be for more purposes

The data is still Incomplete so if you don't get the figure or data you are looking for I am very sorry you need to find out yourself from the market (Players on Auctions, fellow HW players, Senior Managers etc).Same for batting trainers also.....
