How slow does a player grow after he's 20?

Is there a tipping point after which a player stops growing somewhat rapidly.? Or is it a gradual descent.
If i train a player who is 27? Will he grow at all?
How about someone who is over 20?
The manual says that 17-20 is fast? But what after that?
Also if i train two people one who's 18 and one who's 19? Would the 18 years old player grow faster?

The younger a player is, the faster he grows. thats pretty much it, no tipping points or anything.
