Experienced guys!!

Can you please tell what is the ideal squad size we should keep here and reasons for the same?? Is there any use of keeping reserve players. If there is, then what kind of players should we keep in reserve??

It all depends in you....the only thing is you need 11 players...you can't have less than that ....ideally you should target 16 players...6 specialist batsmen.....6 specialist bowlers...preferably 3 seamers and 3 spinners....2 wicketkeepers....and 2 all rounders...one bowling seam and one spin....that should make you win on all kinds of wickets.....

Why do you always want to buy players.....:-)...you can train your bowlers in batting and you get all rounders...and mind you...if you come up against a good quality batting let's say 6 batsmen who are remarkable plus in batting seam..on a green wicket you ll need 5 good seam bowlers spinners will no do good...the same applies for a spin wicket and you should he able to bat atleast till 8 down if you are up against good quality bowlers...so better start training....:-)

@Joydeep: The top priority for any team should be to first buy a full quota of trainees...
so if you are training batting, you will need 6 young (17-18yr old) batsmen, once you have these guys you can build up squad depth with any money you have left
