Hehe...It was a natural progression from people being stripped of their teams if they become inactive. Maybe they should be allowed to surrender?
Or they should be allowed to have a 'keeper' who can take care of their team when they are preoccupied?

Questions about 'users with multiple teams', 'inactive teams', etc.

I need to ask 3 doubts

1) One thing i need to ask is how exactly the teams are shuffled after the season ends . Because some of my friends are in III.8 , III.2 and i'm in III.7 . So is there a possibility that after the season we can be placed in same league because that would make the competition more fierce

2) Is there any check on multiple ID's because as far as i've seen multiple ID's are possible .  Yes i know  , with multiple ID's more headache will be there . But is there any check now , not to have multiple ID's or like this . Because many a times cases will be there where a team in in deep s**thole and is destined to go down division .Then at that moment he/she decides to leave current team and joins other league using different ID , won't it benefit him??

3)What about the human teams who are not even a bit interested even after making the team . I mean to say they created the team in the first place , but after that they are not doing anything . I mean not changing , training schedule or batting order or bowling players or players .But their team is still winning .So what about that? I'm not complaining just wanted to ask because suppose i leave my team now as it is and check after 2-3 months .Is it still OK . and we are putting so much time (as if it is asked ...:P).We should be benefitted

#1)  You stay in the same league unless you promote or demote. You are placed in a random league in the higher/lower div after the season. Unfortunately we can't move your league, eventually you will likely get spread out even if you start in the same league anyway. Best way to ensure u play with your friends, Invite them to replace the BOTs teams in your league, you will make us quite happy too that way ;)

or keep winning and you shall all meet in the top Division!

#2) Our system keeps track of IPs and user activities alerts us in case of multi accounts. Teams found this way will both be banned. If for any reason you wish to restart, please contact us and let us lock your old team before you can start a new one. We keep an eye out for suspicious transfers too.

#3) Sometimes teams start off with really good players but managers don't login, but keep winning since the match lineup is set. Since a few weeks back we have introduced ways to hamper inactive teams. If you don't login for 2 weeks, your assistant manager emails you 'Boss if you don't login and visit the dressing room (players page) by the end of the week, the boys will lose heart and their form is likely to drop'....if the user still doesn't login then player's form starts to drop drastically. Winning matches will be hard with players in bad form ofc.  You will see these effects kicking. :)

ps: lots of good questions here, deserved a thread of its own!

@Kashyap : It might happen that a member does not or cannot login into the system for months .. (though improbable, could happen).

One way I think  such a team could still be floated is, a rotation policy on training .. Like I would set up a order of 4 training modules which are to be run sequentially .. (2 batting, 1 bowling, 1 fielding). That takes care of one month. And you keep on rotating the same cycle month after month. That way even if dont login I would still be strong team. (Age is another thing but assuming I start of with a young team).

We send reminder emails if you don't log into the site for weeks.
If you don't log in for a month, you will lose the team...it'l become a BOT automatically.

The thing is, the number of teams we can sustain are limited, so we want to ensure only active users take up space (I think, a login once in 2 weeks sudn't be hard even in the most pressing circumstances). The game is not fun for others in the league if the user sleeps either.

If you cannot login for some reason for a whole month (say joining the army) then you must inform us in advance.

@kashyap I totally agree with your plans for inactive teams. That will be a good move.

But for league change. What i was thinking is once when the season ends , A total random reshuffling of teams in a division.by that there would be less probability of meeting the same teams again.By current process 5 teams will remain same even after ending of season.

Away from the already discussed topic .One different thing i wanted to ask is , is there any restriction right now of playing max 4 foreign players. That wud be great if it is there.

@harshgupta: If friends are in the same league, atleast some of them will reamin together for a few seasons, if there is no shuffling, thats a good thing rite?
Also, users who have promoted too tend to come back to their old league to talk.

Regarding foreign players, right now there is no restriction. There is really no significance of a 'foreign player' yet...thats an aspect of the game that we'l expand on in a few seasons.

that possibility is lower of having friends in same league because earlier the inviting a new player would have redirected the new user to some other league because the feature to invite to take over any bot team in same league has just been implemented.Otherwise i would have been in the league of my friend who invited me....:)

Anyway great concept , it is really great to hear you've already taken care of so many issues , even though they are difficult to find out . But still hats off to you man for this great concept.

More than any prior thought, we keep learning about most issues on the go and fix them the best we can, what you mentioned abt the improved invites is one such case :)

Harsh, you were not in the same league because I invited you and I moved on to the higher division :P. So you were put in a random league in III division.

Will there be a feature for users to voluntarily surrender their teams? Or transfer it to someone they nominate?

Haha, we are hoping people wouldn't want to do that.
