The features we have in mind will get rolled on a regular/continuous basis, as and when they get done, unlike last season where it was one big list. There are no changes to the Match Engine, so it's not essential for these features to be launched before the season start either.

the youth part is what is interesting I feel...that's going to change the entire strategy of a team I think... :-)

I guess that will be important.....plus it wil be a good way to make money also...!!!!! ;-)

Please roll that out first...

also a trailer before the entire movie comes out and that too harry potter types will be great... ;-)

I have some suggestions in mind (and you might already have thought of most of them):

1) i think a better way of recruiting youths is needed instead of that depending completely on luck.
Perhaps the users can set what type of player they want and that type can be recruited. His skill levels may/may not depend on user's luck. Because scout are always told/know what type of player the team needs and he may get a different type of player only if the player's skills are extremely good.

2) Also, it may be too early, but some kind of audio/video involvement during the game would be nice. Because even though the commentary has been changed, not many people read the whole thing. But I don't mean the text should be removed, only there can be more involvement/entertainment for the users who are watching the game.

3) Post match presentations.

4) The commentary right now doesn't take into account what happened on the previous deliveries, if it does, it would become a lot more interesting. It would become a lot more real if the commentators also talk about the individual players and their performances in the previous matches. We can always extend this to team officials too.

5) Interaction between users during the game (like in cricinfo) would be awesome.

I would say    the developers can provide a youth facility kind of thing with upgrades of different levels and each upgrade should be costly enough to burn a hole in your pocket.the better you facilities get the better player you get on mondays...yeah you should be able to select what kind of player you get..!!!

1) There is currently no advantage if a player is scouted and plays for you, over buying him off the market directly.
If a player is good, irrespective of his traits he'l fetch a good price, which you can use to buy the player who suits your needs perfectly. It encourages more players to be put up on the auction list, which is a good for the game.
The only drawback is, if there ia a shortage of a certain type of player (which is prolly the reason behind your suggestion)...which we hope will become less of a problem as the no of users increase.

Adding this over the complexity of the new system cud be an over kill, lets see how the response is to the new system, we really think it'l become one of the best features in the game. ;)

2) I think you had mentioned earlier, something like a 'applause' sound when there is a four/six/wicket? yeh we can do that, noted. Anything else in particular?

3) We were wondering what must go here apart from the MoM and winner announcement. I think if thr is some info here which will make the user understand why he has won/lost a match then it would be ideal. Implementing something like that is tricky though.

4) ball-to-ball relationship is though to pull off, we tried doing that this time, unfortunately proved too hard. previous performances should be a lot more straight forward though.

5) Yep, the coming season will see a couple of such features.

Lots of good ideas there Sachin, cheers!

yeah, for the second suggestion, can we also have a six/four/wicket flashing on the screen for the corresponding event (if it doesnt sound too tacky)? and there can be a howzzat sound during an appeal and the commentary text may include the stumps mics that catch what the wicketkeeper has to say to his team mates and the batsmen. But it would be better if the WK's comments are put in quotes (and in italic font) as it catches attention and who doesnt like to see some heat increase :P

haha sounds interesting...the flashing ticker (which can be disabled by users if they wish) sounds like something we can do
I dunno if we'l be able to do the appeals part thou...atleast not yet ;)

flash sound...!!!!!! sounds like a southie movie...yeah kashyap...you should give an option to disable it....the matchday is peak office hour for most of us....so your screen flashing will be a big threat to the employment... ;-)

My recommendation will be keep it simple and beautiful..!!!!
